Railings look simple and are easy to get wrong. Ground that falls away, a wall that is not level, a run that has to turn a corner and still look deliberate. Getting a run of railings to sit true on a real frontage is the whole job.

We make ours to the measurements we take on site, in the same workshop and the same finish as our gates, so a gate and its railings match properly rather than nearly. Hot-dip galvanised and powder-coated, so they hold up to a Yorkshire winter.

We take on frontage and boundary railings, internal and external balustrades, and long runs of estate railing. If you already have ironwork you want matched, send a photograph and we will work from it.

Frequently asked

Can you match railings to our existing ones?

Usually yes. A photograph and a couple of measurements are often enough to work out the pattern, and we will confirm it at the survey. Matching into existing ironwork so the join is not obvious is normal work for us.

Do you make balustrades as well as boundary railings?

Yes, internal and external. Balustrades have to meet height and spacing requirements, so we will make sure what we propose is compliant as well as looking right.

How are railings fixed down?

Either core-drilled into stone or concrete and grouted, or bolted to base plates, depending on what we are fixing to. We decide at the survey, because it depends on the wall or ground you actually have rather than what would be convenient.

Can I have railings and a matching gate?

That is most of what we do. Same workshop, same design language, same galvanised and powder-coated finish, quoted as one job so the frontage reads as one piece of work.
