A great manual gate looks effortless. The geometry's right, the proportions sit perfectly against the wall or pillar, the latch clicks home with weight and quiet precision. That's the bar we set on every project.

We make manual gates in wrought iron for traditional properties, in mild steel and powder-coat for the workhorse jobs, in aluminium for low-maintenance contemporary builds, in composite for natural texture and privacy, and in heavy-gauge steel where peace of mind matters most. Every gate is hung on our own fabricated frames, with hardware chosen to match and a finish chosen to last.

Side access, pedestrian and matched garden gates have a shorter lead time, typically three to four weeks. If you have a sketch, a Pinterest board, or just a feel for the property, we'll turn it into a gate. If you have nothing at all, we'll come round, measure up, and put forward a design that fits the architecture without ever feeling generic.

Can I upgrade my manual gate to electric later?

Yes, and plenty of our clients do exactly that. We can build the gate now with the structural reinforcement and pre-installed conduit ready for future automation, so the upgrade's a straightforward retrofit. We also offer a dedicated re-automation service if you already have manual gates from another maker.

Do you do garden gates as well as driveway gates?

We do. Side gates, garden gates, pedestrian access and matched secondary gates are all part of what we make every week.

Is aluminium really strong enough for a driveway gate?

Yes. Every aluminium gate we build is reinforced internally with a steel sub-frame, we don't bolt hollow extrusions together. Reinforced aluminium gates last as long as steel and weigh significantly less, which is gentler on the hinges and on any future motor.

Can you do matching railings to go with my gates?

Yes, happy to. We design railings and wall-top railings to match the gate we're building you, same workshop, same finish, same powder-coat colour. Mention it on your site survey and we'll add it to the quote. We don't take railings on as a standalone service though, only paired with a gate install.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every manual gate comes with a 4-year warranty available, covering the structure, the finish and the hardware.

Aluminium

Lightweight, fully rust-free, virtually maintenance-free. Ideal for modern properties and coastal locations where steel would corrode.

Composite

A reinforced steel or aluminium frame faced with wood-effect composite cladding. The warmth of timber with the longevity of metal, and none of the upkeep.
